Today, October 16th, 2024, marks the 10 year anniversary of the first day that we began selling Big Ditch Brewing Company beer. (The proof is here: www.bigditchbrewing.com/bigditchbrewing/2014/10/final-thoughts-and-thanks.html)

While brewing the beer has been great of course, it’s the people we’ve met along the way that have really made the last 10 years special. And, just like back then, we’re still so happy, excited, humbled, and very, very appreciative of all the support we’ve received from Western New York and beyond, in helping make our dreams become a reality.

They say the days are long and the years are short when you own a small business – but, while yes, we are a little older – we think you can see in our faces that we’re still having as much fun doing what we love today as we were having 10 years ago.

STRANGEBURNER: VOLUME 2 is available now!

We collaborated with barrel wizards Strangebird out of Rochester, NY for a second time to blend our flagship American IPA with their barrel aging expertise. Volume 2 of Strangeburner kisses our IPA with neutral white wine barrels to add a clean oak flavor and a light vanilla undertone to the citrus character expressed by the hops. 7.2% ABV.

We’re proud to announce that TURKEY TROTTER is back! We’ve partnered with YMCA Buffalo Niagara for the third consecutive year to bring you the perfect finish line beer – TURKEY TROTTER! Turkey Trotter Blonde ale was brewed to celebrate The YMCA Turkey Trot, which is the world’s oldest consecutively run footrace, and a Buffalo tradition since 1896. Turkey Trotter, a refreshing blonde ale featuring crackery malt flavor and light hoppy fruit flavor, is the first beer brewed specifically to celebrate this long standing tradition. This year, we’ve tweaked the recipe slightly to add a touch more hoppiness, making it even more refreshing! (4.7% ABV) PLUS a portion of all proceeds from this beer supports YMCA Buffalo Niagara’s efforts to strengthen the WNY community.

Turkey Trotter is available beginning Thursday, October 3 on draft and in 6-packs of 12 oz cans at our tap room and online. (Shipping to NY & PA only) The beer will also be available at craft beer retailers and supermarkets across Western New York, including Tops, Wegmans, Dash’s, Consumer’s Beverages, and more, within the coming week.
